This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!
This May, I’m running 100 km for someone who means the world to me — my niece Winnie.
Winnie has faced many challenges in her young life. Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon has played a vital role in gifting our family more time with Winnie than anyone thought was possible. The hospital supports so many children and families to ensure they receive the care they need.
My brother is running 200 km this month as part of the Million Reasons to Run fundraiser. If you know Preston, you know he pours his heart into everything he does, so it’s no surprise he’s set such an ambitious goal. But of everything he’s done, watching him be a dad to Winnie has been the most inspiring by far. Him and his family have shown such strength and I’m forever grateful that the children’s hospital has supported them in so many ways.
There are a million reasons to run… My reasons are Winnie, Wolfe, Preston and Mariah! I’ve joined his team, Winnie’s Warriors, to run 100 km alongside him. If you’d like to support our team or Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, you can donate, share or sign up yourself!
