This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Hello,

Thursday 23rd Apr
My name is Oscar and this May (2026) I’m challenging myself to run at least 160km.

I do not have any background in endurance running or any form of individual training. However, I believe my goal of 160km is obtainable.

~3 runs a week [(2)10K + half marathon]

I am currently a high school student at NDSS and next fall I will be in the program (honours) health science where I plan to further my education before taking on dental school.

If you would like to join this journey with me and MILLIONREASONSRUN, feel free to help the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) at the same time.

I would love for everyone to support CHEO, for they focus on:

 • Pediatric Acute Care:
Providing specialized treatment for children and youth facing serious illness, injury, or emergency medical needs.

 • Mental Health Services:
Leading the way as a dedicated agency for child and youth mental health, offering both inpatient and community-based support.

 • Life-Changing Research:
Driving innovation through the CHEO Research Institute to discover new treatments and improve healthcare outcomes for young people globally.

• Rehabilitation and Development: Supporting kids with physical disabilities or developmental challenges through the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre.

• Palliative Care:
Offering compassionate end-of-life care and support for families through the Roger Neilson Children's Hospice.

 • Family-Centered Care:
Ensuring that families are equal partners in the healing process, providing them with the resources and emotional support they need during difficult times.

Why this matters?
CHEO is one of the few stand-alone pediatric hospitals in Canada, serving thousands of families across Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Your support ensures they can continue redefining what it means to be a hospital—where every child has the best chance to live their healthiest, most vibrant life.
