This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

My Reason!

Wednesday 29th Apr
Hi everyone!

This May, I’m taking part in the Million Reasons Run, a Canada-wide virtual challenge supporting life-saving research at children’s hospitals across the country.

I’ve set a personal goal of running 100 km over the month of May, and I’m hoping to raise $1000 to support this amazing cause. Every dollar raised helps fund research that improves treatments, care, and outcomes for kids who need it most.

This cause is especially meaningful to me because my sister has spent countless hours at SickKids due to her Crohn’s disease. Seeing firsthand the impact that hospitals, care teams, and research have on kids and families is a big reason why I wanted to get involved.

I’m doing this alongside my classmates from the Dalhousie Physiotherapy program, and we’re excited to challenge ourselves while supporting something bigger than us.

Across Canada, thousands of children rely on hospitals like the IWK here in Halifax, and research truly is what drives better care and better futures for them.

If you’re able to donate or even just share this post, I would really appreciate the support!
