My Reason
Friday 1st MayI’m running for something deeply personal.
On December 28, 2021, my brother Jaxon unexpectedly passed away from a brain bleed. Losing him changed my life in ways I’m still learning to navigate. In those critical moments, BC Children’s Hospital did everything they could for him. Their care, their urgency, and their compassion meant more than I can ever fully put into words.
A few years later, I experienced that same hospital from a different perspective. Rory was a little boy I had the privilege of caring for as his nanny. He lived with Dravet Syndrome—a severe and complex form of epilepsy—and received care at BCCH, surrounded by teams who fought for him just as hard. He passed away on July 28, 2025, and he left a lasting mark on my heart.
This run is for both of them.
It’s for Jaxon, whose life was cut far too short.
It’s for Rory, who showed so much strength in such a small body.
And it’s for every family who walks into those doors at BCCH hoping for more time, more answers, and more miracles.
BC Children’s Hospital doesn’t just treat patients—it holds families together during the hardest moments of their lives. It provides care, support, and hope when it’s needed most.
I’m raising funds to give back to the place that gave so much to people I love. Every donation, no matter the size, helps support life-saving care, research, and resources for children and families who need it.
If you’re able to donate or share, it would truly mean the world to me.
Thank you for helping me honor Jaxon and Rory in a meaningful way. ❤️
