This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Over the course of my decade-long doula career, I’ve had the great honour of welcoming hundreds of precious little ones earth-side. Many of these babies and their families have left a permanent mark on my heart, but none quite like the tiny Mr Shep.

This past winter, I got to spend lots of time at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. On my visits during Shepherd’s 53-day stay, I met many of the incredible staff and had a front row seat to the amazing care they provide. Over countless hours, I witnessed not just their hard work, dedication, and drive, but their genuine love and care for their patients. The Stollery really is a special place, providing world-class care for families all over Northern Canada and Alberta.

In May, I’m running 53km to celebrate Shep’s 53-Day Stollery Stay. To honour those who cared for him. To raise money so that many more families can receive the care they need.

Please consider donating! If you aren’t able to give, I invite you to find other ways to support the many families whose children require hospital care: visit, send a note, volunteer, thank a nurse.

💜In Memory of Shepherd Phinehas Kellert. Always loved, never forgotten💜

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

This is crazy!

Tuesday 7th Apr
In less than 24 hours, we’ve DOUBLED my fundraising goal. Crazy!

Thank you to everyone who has already donated and shared…and the running challenge hasn’t even started yet!

Let’s see what we can do together!

We’re bumpin’ the goal!

Tuesday 7th Apr
I’m in awe.
After posting about my Million Reasons Run for the first time last night, I woke up this morning to my email inbox filled with notifications of donations received. Overnight, my fundraising goal was met. 🥹 THANK YOU!
I know that, together, we can raise even more support for the Stollery, so I’m doubling my goal from $530 to $1060!

Now, the only question is, do I also need to run more??? 😆

Thank you to my donors
