This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Million Reasons to Run

Monday 17th Mar

Premature birth is a life-altering experience for families, and for the tiniest of fighters, every moment counts. At CHEO (The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario), specialized care is provided to premature babies, offering them the best chance for survival and long-term health. However, providing the essential care these babies need requires more than just medical expertise – it requires funding for specialized equipment, research, and programs that give them a fighting chance.

Why Support Premature Babies at CHEO?

Each year, hundreds of babies are born prematurely at CHEO, some as early as 24 weeks gestation. These babies often face many challenges, including respiratory issues, infections, and developmental delays. With a dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), CHEO is equipped to provide life-saving care. However, the ongoing need for specialized equipment, expert staff, and continuous research into the best ways to care for premature infants is ever-growing.

By supporting this cause, you’re giving these babies and their families hope. Your contribution will help provide the critical resources needed to ensure that every baby, no matter how early, has the best chance at life.
