This May, we're taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of our local children's hospital!
Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting our team, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital, the IWK. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.
Our entire team of lionesses has a connection to the IWK in one way or another. Whether they were patients themselves as kids, were monitored during pregnancy, or simply know someone who belongs to one of these categories, the IWK has a special place in our hearts.
We are also part of the proud village of a special little lion that has been a patient at the IWK since he was three weeks old. That’s where the team name comes from. Lionesses protect and provide for their pride!
