This May, we're taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of our local children's hospital!

We weren't sure how much of Ellie's experience were were going to share publicly while we were going through it, as it was one of the most challenging weeks and really months of our lives, but one thing we agreed on wholeheartedly right from the beginning is that we knew we would be lifelong supporters of the Janeway after how we were cared for as an entire family while there!

As some people know by now, Ellie was born with craniosyntosis, not a life-threatening condition; however, a defect that affects the growth of a child's skull and needs to be corrected through surgery. So after much deliberation and meeting with pediatricians and neurologists at the Janeway, it was recommended to us that Ellie have a full open procedure on her skull.

Ellie had her surgery in early March of this year, followed by a week-long full family stay on the J4 surgery wing of the Janeway. It is truly hard to put into words how cared for and supported we felt while we were there, and it would mean the world to us if Ellie's friends and family would consider making a donation!
