This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Running with A Purpose

Friday 1st May
Today was my first day of running for a million reasons, and every single one of them leads back to children who deserve a healthier and brighter future.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. As a cancer doctor, I have witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience of young children facing illnesses no child should ever have to endure. Their courage stays with you. It changes you. And it pushes you to do more, even in small ways.

I have set a goal of 30 km, something manageable and realistic for me right now. Just three months ago, I had a C section, and with two young children, one energetic 6 year old and a 3 month old baby, life is beautifully full and equally demanding. That is exactly why this matters so much. These little ones remind me every day what we are fighting for.

This run is not about speed or distance alone. It is about intention. It is about contributing, even in a small way, to research, treatment, and hope for these beautiful little angels.

Day one is done. And I am running with purpose 💛
