This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!
Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Monday 4th MayMy First Run: 4 Kilometres, A Million Reasons
Today, I laced up my shoes and ran just over 4 kilometres. It might not sound like much, but for me—it meant everything.
I’m a mom of five under five, including newborn twins. My days are full in every sense of the word—tiny hands, sleepless nights, endless love, and a constant rhythm of caring for everyone else. So getting out the door for a run? That’s not just exercise. That’s intention.
But this run was about more than just me.
I’m taking part in the Million Reasons Run—a Canada-wide challenge where you run however far you can, wherever you are, throughout the month of May, all to support children’s hospitals. Every kilometre and every dollar raised goes toward life-saving pediatric research, helping kids across the country get the care they need.
And for those of us connected to Newfoundland, it hits especially close to home. Funds raised locally support the Janeway Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre—the only pediatric hospital in the province. It’s a place that cares for over 100,000 children and families every year, providing critical treatment, equipment, and research that truly changes lives.
Knowing that made every step feel bigger.
It’s about showing my kids what it means to do something for others.
It’s about using what I can do, even in a busy, exhausting season of life.
It’s about being part of something bigger than myself.
I may be a mom of five under five, running on very little sleep—but today, I ran for a million reasons.
And I’m just getting started.
