This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!
I love my Tommy, I love to run, and I love medicine. In this challenge, my worlds collide. The nature and timing of this initiative sure do feel like more than just purely coincidental. On May 13th, Tommy will be headed back to SickKids for surgery to remove the benign mass on his skull, which we’ve come to love as part of him.
The quality of care, compassion, and professionalism SickKids has shown us to date is immeasurable. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t anxious, but I know he’s in the hands of an elite medical team with the biggest hearts.
Please consider even the smallest donation but your best pterodactyl cheer will do — 100km in 31 days at 8 months postpartum is no easy feat for a pelvic floor that’ll never be the same!!
