This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Finally Finished!

Sunday 31st May
It took all month and it was slow at times, but I finally reached my goal of 50km in one month! Im very proud of myself, this was something I didnt think I could do. Id like to thank my friends and family for supporting me and believing in me.  Special thanks to my daughter who ran the last 3km with me and kept me motivated by her taunting, lol!

Day 1!

Friday 1st May

Day 1: Walking the track at Algonquin College!

Friday 1st May
Today, I started my Million Reasons to Run challenge easy and walked on the Discovery Track in the Jack Doyle Athletic Center at the Algonquin College Woodroofe Campus. The Discovery Track is 0.346km and winds around the second level of the gym, with a slight incline/decline. At an average pace of 5.5km/hrs, I walked 2.05 km in about 22 minutes! Not bad for my first day! My goal is to work my way up to jogging, and then finish off with a good run/sprint to end the challenge with a bang!
