This May, I'm taking on a 100 mile running challenge in support of the IWK children's hospital in Halifax

During the month of May, I plan to run 40 kilometers a week in support of the IWK. Each run will be marked by my reasons for running, reflecting on life, those I live for, the causes we're fighting for, and the privileges of healthy life.

I will also give my own money at the end of the month, matching the total donations up to the ultimate goal of $300. If $200 are raised, I will give $200. If $300 are raised, I will give $300.  This challenge is one of my biggest goals yet, but I know it will be for a good cause.

From the words of the Million Reasons Run Foundation:

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada. By supporting this fundraiser, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at the IWK, the largest children's hospital in Atlantic Canada. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Whether you give $1, $10, $50 or even a quarter, all donations will help contribute to the goal. You can help make the difference in a child's life, even through the smallest actions.
