This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Show your support by donating now!

Day 27

Wednesday 27th May
This was from the 21.1 on Day 24. Congrats to all who ran…and who are currently running!

Day 23

Saturday 23rd May
Off to Calgary to run the half marathon tomorrow. Repping the Million Reasons Run of course

Day 21

Thursday 21st May
It’s official.

I’ve upped my fundraising goal to $2000.

Thought about it at length as I didn’t want to “get greedy” and understand that regardless of amount, donating isn’t easy…we all have stuff to pay for.

But I wasn’t far off and know that I’ll get there one way or another.

So again, I really appreciate everyone and look forward to hitting my goals!

Day 16

Saturday 16th May
Halfway there!

Sore. But wouldn’t have it any other way.

200km is in sight!

Day 8

Friday 8th May
$1500 target achieved.

Grateful. 🙏

I just wish I knew who the anonymous donors are so I can thank you personally.

Day 6

Wednesday 6th May
50 km in and just over $100 to hit my fundraising target!

Just imagine what we can do in the next 25 days!

Day 3

Sunday 3rd May
Double dipped today.

An impromptu and last-minute entry into the Run Wild 10K in St. Albert.

So not only supporting the Stollery Children’s Hospital, but through today’s race, also the Zebra Child & Youth Advocacy Centre.

⏱️ 47:31 (a nice little PB)

Day 1 - Perspective

Friday 1st May
Losing stings.

And it’s easy to say that this is a privileged problem.

But “perspective” just nudged me this morning and told me that the kids, especially the ones who I’m running for, will no longer see their heroes until next season.  😔

And that stings.

But we press on. As all the kids at Stollery do.

So day 1… this month…200km.

let’s go.

Why?

Monday 27th Apr
A simple reason..

Why not?

I’ve been doing a lot of running lately and last month stumbled upon this opportunity to raise money while doing so.

Running can be a “self-absorbing” sport/activity so this will be a nice way to be a little bit selfless and help out the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

I’ve seen first hand how well they take care of sick and injured children, so I’m sure a little more support can go a long way.

It should be a fun month.

Thank you to my donors
