This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!
Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Thank you for coming back for another year to support me in this amazing cause.
Last year we beat the fundraising goal by over $500 which was AMAZING! I didn’t expect to even reach my goal, let alone exceed it, so thank you all so much!
I hope we can achieve even more together this year.
A little refresher on my backstory as to why I am participating and why the Stollery Children’s Hospital means so much to me:
2 years ago now, we lost probably the brightest light in our lives, Kadence. She fought for 5 years against a very rare and aggressive cancer until she was 18 years old. Kadence is an inspiration to all of us. Her strength and resilience was admirable, and her dark humour and quirkiness were some of the best parts of her. She never gave up. She continued to live her life to the fullest even if she wasn’t feeling 100%. She continued to make memories, go on adventures, and many many MANY Starbucks trips. Kadence was probably the biggest Taylor Swift fan I have ever met and makes sure we know it.
Kady spent a lot of time in the Stollery developing relationships with the nurses and making them try her crazy Starbucks drink (like the one with extra lavender). No one enjoys being in a hospital, but the staff at the Edmonton Stollery Children’s Hospital made it feel like family. Myself and all her family and friends are forever grateful to the Doctors and Nurses that did everything they could for Kadence, even just putting a smile on her face. If she wanted it, she got it. They gave her a peaceful environment full of support and provided us a place to be with her as if it was any other day. Whether it was the girls having a hospital sleepover, or Kady getting her tattoo done in her bed, the nurses were always there checking in or being a part of the action. The support from them went farther than just healthcare.
So this run is for the Stollery Staff that gave our Kady the best support and care she could ask for and most importantly, this one goes out to Kadence. The light that will continue to guide us through life, and the girl I will forever admire and honour every day of my life.
We love you, we miss you. Here’s to you.
