Will keep going!

Monday 25th May
Hi wonderful friends and donors :) I’m not going to be able to make my goal of 50km in the month of May. A knee injury has been plaguing me and I didn’t prioritize running this month as I’ve been helping my sister start up a new business. Excuses, excuses. I’m still going to run this distance it just might take me in to June. I’m so sorry to disappoint! Thank you for all the love, encouragement, and especially for your donations to CHEO. I will finish the month strong!

Progress not perfection!

Saturday 9th May
I’ve made it to 15k in the first 1/3 of the challenge! So I’ve got work to do - and my knee is a real buzzkill. Will walk it if I have to but jogging is going okay with my new knee brace (paying the $$ for the better one has been so worth it). Thank you to family and friends who have donated!

1st Run Done!

Friday 1st May
4km and to be honest, I’m not sure my knee’s going to hold up for 50km! Still going to try 😊😊😊 I upped my goal to $750 - a stretch goal for sure, but friends and family have been so generous already, I’m hoping to raise as much as I can for CHEO!

$500 Met!!

Wednesday 29th Apr
THANK YOU to everyone who has donated - my original goal was $250 so I am over the moon about surpassing $500! CHEO’s work is so important - your donations are supporting such a great cause.

Thanks!

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far, I really appreciate your support!

My Why!

Tuesday 31st Mar

This May, I’m participating in the Million Reasons Run in memory of my cousin Matthew, and in support of those currently facing cancer. Matthew spent many years as a patient at CHEO, and today that connection to CHEO continues in our family through his brother Patrick, who now works there. After bariatric surgery, I’m feeling loads better and doing something I honestly never thought I’d do again: running. I haven’t really been able to run in 10 to 15 years, so this feels big in every sense of the word. I’m doing this for families who know how hard these battles can be, and for the incredible care CHEO gives to children and families every day.

Thank you to my donors
