This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Run 20: Bell Island

Friday 29th May
Took the ferry over to Bell Island today and had to confront the very steep hill just outside the dock. lots of fun.

Run 19: Bay Bulls

Wednesday 27th May
Headed a bit further south today to explore Bay Bulls. Some lady honked at me from the other side of the road, which was rude.

Run 18: Deadman's Bay Trail

Monday 25th May
Went for a bit of a hike today on this very rocky trail. The downhill was concerning, but the uphill was fun.

Run 17: Neil's Pond

Sunday 24th May
Went down to Paradise for today's run. Nice and sunny.

Run 16: Voisey's Brook

Saturday 23rd May
Ran the Voisey's Brook trail a couple times today. Twisted my ankle a couple times on the deep gravel but i largely appreciated the extra bounce it had.

Run 15: Laurier

Thursday 21st May
Found a relatively flat neighborhood off Pearson Street and circled it three times. It was nice not fighting up hills.

Run 14: Long Pond

Wednesday 20th May
Circled long pond twice today. I'm running out of ponds.

Run 13: Marine Drive

Tuesday 19th May
Went on a late night run around Torbay. I actually found a second wind for the first time in like a week🥳

Run 12: Bannerman Park

Sunday 17th May
Aimlessly ran around Bannerman today until I hit 3 miles. Weather is quite nice.

Run 11: Stavanger

Saturday 16th May
Knocked out todays run while waiting for a haircut in the Stavanger area today. My leg is hurting less and I'll be back up to full capacity in no time.

Run 10: Kenmount-Freshwater

Thursday 14th May
Went very slow today so as not to upset what I think are shin splints. Started at the mall and went to Shoppers and back

Run 9: Bauline Line

Wednesday 13th May
Slower pace today up and down Bauline Line as I might have hurt my leg a couple days ago.

Run 8: Bowring Park

Monday 11th May
Did a shorter run around Bowring today for scheduling reasons. It was nice not having to run on active roadways.

Run 7: Kenny's, Kent's, CNA

Sunday 10th May
Ladies and gentlemen, we are so back!! Ran my longest route yet around Kent's Pond, Kenny's Pond, and the neighborhood surrounding the Prince Phillip CNA campus.

Run 6: Airport Heights

Saturday 9th May
After a very ill-advised decision to take two consecutive rest days for work reasons, I took the time today to pathetically limp around Airport Heights at a snail's pace.

Run 5: Virginia Park

Wednesday 6th May
Took some time after work today to run around the neighborhood and barely make it up East White Hills Road.

Run 4: Octagon Pond

Tuesday 5th May
On the advice of a close friend, I headed up to Paradise this evening for what was my favorite run yet. I circled Octagon Pond and tacked on some extra distance by climbing up a hill and following a loop in the road.

Run 3: Outer-Middle Cove

Sunday 3rd May
Today I started on Outer Cove Road and ran a loop which included Outer Cove Beach. It was mostly neighborhoods, and my favorite road was O'Rourkes Lane because I hate Ted Cruz. Longest run yet.

Run 2: Forest Pond

Saturday 2nd May
Today I went down to the Goulds and circled Forest Pond along with an adjacent neighborhood. It was tough since I'm already sore but I'm sure that will subside.

Run 1: Quidi Vidi

Friday 1st May
I circled Quidi Vidi Lake for my first run of the month. Might check out the Goulds tomorrow
