This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

As a parent, you hope you never have to spend long visits to a hospital with your child. You expect maybe the usual bump and bruise, a fever you’re worried about, a trampoline accident resulting in a broken arm, maybe, at best. But when you find out it’s not the typical childhood trip to the hospital, it’s more serious than that, you want the best care. BC Children’s has been just that for Addison. The care she is receiving, the attentiveness and speed at which care happens is top tier. The reason they have the resources and treatment options are in part due to generous donations from people like you.

This May, as a way to thank them for all they have been doing for my daughter, is to run 100km’s, with your support, so that other kids and parents can benefit from the same care we have received.

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Show your support by donating now!

You always wish you could do something more...

Thursday 19th Mar
Yesterday I woke up completely fatigued, and strongly debated not running at all. My whole body was just wanting to stay in bed and turn on the tv.

Then I thought about Addison. Her, and others who are at BC Children's Hospital. Her, and kids all over Canada who are more than just fatigued.

I got my butt out of bed, put on my runners, and went, because it was all I could do. Sticking to my commitment to stack up the Km's all of May, to raise money for those kids who are tired, scared, being poked and prodded, who should be at school with their friends.

I would be lying to you if I didn't say that the tears came and were held back on several occasions as I thought of my own little girl. How strong she is. She is the most incredible girl.

To all who have donated so far, THANK YOU! Your generosity means so much. I want you to know you are funding incredible research that can and will change the outcome for so many other children out there.

Thank you to my donors
