This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of rhe Stollery children's hospital!
This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of Stollery Children's Hospital!
As many of you already know, the Stollery is near and dear to our hearts. It is truly a resource that we'd love to have and not need, than need and not have.
My son, Jacob, is now 16, and it's been almost 6 years since his hemorrhagic stroke caused by an arteriovenous malformation (AVM). Jacob's miraculous recovery is due in large part to the amazing neurosurgery and post-op treatment teams at the Stollery. He spent 1 whole month at the Stollery and 2 months at the Glenrose.
Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.
I plan on running/walking at least 2km per day and will be personally pledging $1/km to show my commitment to this important cause.
