kms RUN

kms GOAL

This May, I’m running for the health of every kid in Canada, as well as my own!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

Please donate now and support me in my challenge!

New Kicks, New Goals!

Thursday 13th May
Yet again we have underestimated Aurora. She, along with all of you have crushed the latest goals! We are increasing Rory’s goal for the last time. 10km for every year she has been alive (20km) and a total of $5000 are our final and rather lofty goals. Let’s see how we all do!

Aiming Higher!

Thursday 6th May
Thanks for all of the support! We aren’t even a week in to May and Aurora has exceeded her fundraising goal and she will likely meet her “run” goal by tomorrow. We never expected all of this support from everyone. We also knew that Rory never stops moving but we didn’t realize how far she was capable of walking.

As a result we are increasing our fundraising goal to $2500 (tell your friends) and Rory will  try to hit 10km this month. There was some debate about this being too lofty a goal but she has surprised us throughout her entire life, so why underestimate her capabilities.

Getting in some metres while the sun is out. Lots of sunscreen for those pale arms.

Signing Up For a Good Cause

Wednesday 28th Apr
Well as you likely know, Aurora “Rory” has spent a lot of time at SickKids Hospital, in Toronto. She has had six surgeries, many tests and procedures and will likely need another surgery in the future.

In the month of May she will be turning 2 and we think this is a small way she can give back to the Hospital that saved her life. This month this little girl, who loves being outside will be walking (maybe “RUN”ning) Or biking 3km to help raise money for the hospital. We have started with a goal of $2000 dollars with the hope that we can raise a thousand dollars for every year she has been alive.

Only distances she walks, runs or bikes herself will count. The challenge will be figuring out how to track it. Considering her stride length is less than 30cm this will likely take her all month but it’s good to have goals. Wish her luck and if you can please feel free to donate to the cause.
