This May, I'm taking on a 31 day running challenge in support of my local children's hospital!

Every day, over 5,000 children receive care at a children’s hospital in Canada and by supporting me, you’ll be helping fund life-saving research at your own local children’s hospital. Funds for research are needed now more than ever, and your support will allow researchers to uncover new cures and gentler treatments for kids.

My why

Friday 1st May

I’m doing the million reasons run with my daughter, Adeleine, who is almost 3 months old. I’m very familiar with the Children’s Hospital at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg because I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 6 years old. The Diabetes Education Resource for Children & Adolescents was truly lifesaving & the staff there made it so much less scary. While in NICU, Adeleine had complications which means there’s a good chance she’ll also need support through the Children’s Hospital. She is our whole world and we’re so grateful for the resources we’ve received so far to help her meet milestones.💛

We’re walking to support the programs at Children’s and the ongoing research to help improve the lives of children facing challenges. Adeleine came into the world around 33weeks so our goal is to walk 33km for the month!
